HAWAIIAN SHIRT SPA - Introduction to Digital Media
INTRODUCTION:
I designed a Hawaiian shirt with originally created fresh patterns and button for this work. Also, our design must match the style and colour with Hawaiian style. We totally need to created a pattern, button and a shirt company tag.
MATERIALS:
Adobe Illustrator is what we choose to do our design of pattern, button, and brand tag. I also find some reference from internet, I found some free photo resource.
CREATIVE PROCESS:
I thought Hawaii is a place of passion, sunshine and sea, so they really need some shining colour and elements. Fruit is my favourite element of Hawaii, and I need to choose some special fruits what did not used a lot. The idea is strawberry.

Final Pattern Design
For prepare my shirt, I choose orange to be my base colour. It is a really good shining colour which I think match the style of Hawaii.
Full looking of final design
I use pen tool to design the button. From my point of view, my design of shirt is really colourful, so brand tag and button need to be less colour. I choose black and light grey to design my button, and pick a grey canvas photo from a free photo website to be the base of brand tag. Red Hawaii is what Hawaii looks in my mind, so I choose this name to be this brand.

Conclusion
in this project, I acquired how to create my own pen brush to make a pattern in Illustrator. This is the first time I work on a real product. If I were to do this project again, I would like to focus more on design a pattern which have more details on it, maybe I will choose photoshop to draw my pattern. All in all, I think I am really enjoy to do this project.
